last week we learned: (last 3 stitches shown below)
couching---which i think has good potential. you can couch (attached and/or cover) nearly ANYTHING archival and flexible (and not so flexible). i just played around with revealing and wrapping. fibrous yarn wasn't a thing i wanted to "couch" down, but it was good enough to practice with.
turkey work--- or t'working, as they DON'T call it in embroidery land but really should. you can have short or long fringe or leave it loopy. i like loopy.
chevron--cute, fast and apparently i'm good at it, but decorative in a way i don't think i'd use often.
this week we'll be transferring an image we bring in and stitching that up however we want. plus we'll learn our last 3 stitches. and learning how to applique because i think i'm going to be using this image:
i hope it's not too difficult to get the paper airplane to look like a paper airplane. but i see satin stitches, a few french knots, backstitches, one we haven't learned yet, and maybe some tiny t'working.
