Elly MacKay has been a long time favorite and inspiration, not only to myself but to my former students as well. All at once she is a story teller, illustrator, sculptor, photographer and scenic artist. Ms. MacKay is from Canada and creates her miniature
"Theatre in the Clouds" into mysterious and ethereal images from painted paper and clever lighting. Many of her photographs are available in

doyou haiku|| is a feature series of contemporary artists that I find inspiring. haiku forces me to boil my thoughts down to some essentials and still allow the work to speak for itself.
